Thailand’s food industry still has the high capacity in manufacturing for both domestic consumption and export sector. In 2018, Thailand’s food exports grew substantially and ranked as the world’s 12th food exporter, with an export value of 1.03 trillion baht including 1.3 ten billion from dried fruit and 9.3 ten billion from canned seafood. Currently, a number of companies are trying to conduct their business in line with Thailand 4.0 trend by using innovation technology to manage their resource in a more efficient way and to cut the manufacturing cost alongside with the use of clean energy that helps preserve the environment and has a positive effect on neighboring communities.

With the installation of 1 Megawatt (MW) capacity solar energy system at Chin Huay’s plant at Tha Chalom , Samut Sakhon, alongside with the assistance from the professional experts from Banpu Infinergy Company Limited, a subsidiary of Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading integrated energy company in Asia-Pacific, it is estimated that Chin Huay Co., Ltd. will be able to sequester 740 tons of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, which is equal to planting 43,000 of trees per year. By doing this, it will also help reduce 1.5 liters of annual water consumption and will save 450,000 baht off the electricity bill.
